A limited edition linocut print on paper, which portrays an historic fisherman's cottage in Arniston (also known as Waenhuiskrans), a village near the southernmost tip of Africa.

This low thatched cottage exemplifies the origins of the seaside village vernacular and is made with sustainable local materials. Its slightly uneven whitewashed walls reflect brilliantly in the sunlight and a curving chimney bolsters a gable end. The simple shapes, planes, textures, contrasts and shadows inspired this linocut composition.

Printed with artists' quality oil-based black ink on robust acid-free paper. The image is approximately A6 size, on A5 paper.

It is sold unframed, but I now include a commercially-produced mount set, as shown, which protects the artwork during shipping and presents beautifully. You do not need to retain the mount if you don't like it - the artwork can easily be taken out of the mount for your own framing preference.

It is very important to me that you receive my print in good condition.

The print is sold unframed, for ease and economy of shipping. However, it is despatched in a commercially-manufactured mount set, which comprises a mitre-cut black mount, backing board and cellophane bag.

The mount set measures 7 x 9” (or 18 x 23 cm approximately, outer dimensions).

So not only is your purchase ready to present as a gift (if that is your plan with it), but the mount set, together with other robust packaging, protects the print during shipping. There is plenty of margin for framing and the mount set can be discarded, if you have other plans for the print.

The package is despatched using a tracked postal service.

Please note that I am willing to ship to most countries, so if the shipping profile for this artwork does not include where you are, please feel free to message me to make a request.
Returns are accepted.

After receiving the item, cancel the purchase within 30 days. The buyer pays for return postage.

If the buyer returns an item, it should be returned in the same condition in which it was received, and it should include all items that were in the original package.

If the returned item is used, damaged, or missing any parts, or is damaged during return delivery because it wasn't packaged correctly, a deduction might be made from the refund to cover the loss in the item's value.
