Original signed reduction linocut print 'Nude Seated', one of a limited edition of ten in total, in three colourways. The reduction relief printing process changes the original lino block as more layers are carved and printed, making it impossible to print any more.
The print process involved three colours in oil-based inks. The image is approximately A5 size, printed on robust A4 paper.
The print is sold unframed, but I have included some app-generated images here to help you visualise how it might look framed. The print will also have my signature on the front, as well as the edition number.
I have an architectural degree and, for most of my life, have worked as an architectural designer. At one architectural practice, we were encouraged to attend life-drawing classes after work to keep our freehand art drawing skills in. I have many nude sketches from these sessions, and one of them, of a woman seated, provided the inspiration for this design.
